Welcome to my blog. I’m Kevin Tan, the founder of Kevin Tan Photography, Malaysia based wedding & event photojournalism.

I’m in love in photography for more than 10 years. I started to learn photography when I was in secondary school and it was SLR world instead of Digital SLR. After graduated from secondary school, I stopped to play SLR for few years and I started to learn DSLR in May’2008.

In May 2008, I bought myself an used Canon DSLR 350D from a friend and started to shoot everything. Since then, I’m deeply in love in photography again.

It was a blessed that I was given opportunities by my friends to shoot their weddings when they knew I started my own career as a freelance photographer. Besides, I am glad that critics & constructive comments were given by them and I treat their commens as positive and learn my mistakes from there.

Why am I in love in wedding photography? Actually I was inspired by my ex-colleague, Kenneth Tan (Fabulous Chapter), a well known wedding photographer in M’sia. He’s the first photographer that bring me along to shoot and from there I start to feel the happiness in a wedding, where you can see touching moments, funny actions and lots of unforgetable moment where you couldn’t find else where except wedding.  And there’s the place where I can recharge my energy & power after 5 days a week sitting in office and doing hectic works.  Thereafter, I am in love in wedding photography and decided to venture into it.

I would like to share a vision of mine which I would want to explore photography into a christian missionary. Currently, I’m helping churches to snap events without charges. Event such as camp, celebration, special programme, missionary trips and so on. Besides, I love to snap God’s creations and I’m hoping my photos not only convey the story embeded in it but also a LOVE message from Lord in future.

Besides, I do help charity organisation to take pictures where it’s part of my vission to contirbute to the society. If your charity organisation need a photographer, please do contact me as I would love to do so.
