Parent Baptism
01.05.2010 is the new born day for my parent. We have been waiting so long for this day. It’s a touching moment when mymum told me that they are going to attend their church baptism class & will be having the ceremony on 01.05.2010. I’m glad dad had accepted Christ after 12 years of struggling. Mum has been waiting for this day for 12 years and today is the day. It’s a HAPPY DAY~~Praise the Lord~~

Happy New Year!!
Hi guys,
I know my blog has been left out quite some time. Really sorry for not updating my blog for almost 2 months. Aiiksss…
Well, my life has been busy for the past 2 months as year end was the busiest month where lots of wedding to shoot as well as attending best friend’s wedding. Besides, I’m speeding up my photos editing as fast as I could to deliver those pictures to the couples out there. Really sorry for the delays. No worries guys, mamak treat is on me when we meet up ya..LOL
I have enjoyed myself for the past 2 months where I got the chance to meet up some old friends in my best friend’s wedding besides shooting other couples’ wedding. Guess what! I found a church i.e. City Harvest Church which I think I wanted to stay with and grow spiritually there. Thanks to my buddy, Leanne Lim who brought me to the cel and got the chances to know more about the church. Besides, I have attended their productions and it was just AWESOME!!
Year 2009 was a blessing year to me and I Thank God for the year. I started my own photography interest and ventured into wedding photography plus I was given opportunity to shoot with some great & talented photographers. Of course, not to forget to my couples who had given me their precious time & chances for me to shoot for them.
I’m looking forward for more excitements & blessing in year 2010 and my new year resolution is to have some one special to share the rest of my life. Well, I will pray hard for that. ;P Actually, this is not only my new year resolution, it is my parent’s resolution as well as both of them is hoping to see there is someone that could take care of me and hoping their children to be happy.

08.11.2009 - Winnie Wong’s Birthday
After being busy on my wedding assignment for the past 2 months, finally got the chance to take a day rest, which I think it’s a meaningful day for me.
Such a wonderful Sunday I have today. I wake up early in the morning and brought my parent to Pyramid to shop and I have met a couple that is very friendly and I’m really glad and appreciate that they engaged me as their wedding photographer. Besides, I haven’t meet my friends for months due my busy schedule and I have taken this opportunity to meet them in Pyramid. One of my buddy had bought a DSLR from Taiwan which he had a great deal there. Sigh~~I should asked him to get something for me. He asked me to share some photography skills and I have shared what I think is sufficient for him and hope he can coped up with that.
In the evening, I went to this “Wing’s Cafe” which is near to my house to have this birthday celebration for Winnie. It’s such a wonderful gathering for all of us and we did enjoyed the night. Happy Birthday Winnie. This album is specially dedicated to you….

08.10.2009 - ORIX Malaysia Deeparaya Dinner Celebration
In August, ORIX Malaysia has successfully organised a team building for the staff and I’m sure every one enjoyed it. Today, ORIX Malaysia is organising another gathering for staff where it’s a dinner celebration to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri & Deepavali, which is a new year celebration for the malay & indian. All ORIX staff in KL & PJ has attended the dinner. Besides, ORIX’s Managing Director had introduced the new Deputy Managing Director to the staff.
I, myself also enjoyed the dinner and shooting. Oh ya, ORIX Sport Committee had bought 2 vests for the official photographers and an ORIX logo was stitched on it with a name tagging “Official Photographer” and I was asked to wear the vest. I felt so uncomfortable cause never wear a vest while shooting. Anyway, here are some of my favourite shots.
H1N1?
On 25.08.2009, I reached office earlier as usual and started not feeling well. I feel drowsy, body pain and coughing non stop. Then, I decided to go for my company panel doctor, which is level 4 of the same building and it’s my first time to visit that clinic. After checking my temperature, she said you are slightly having fever and she’s giving 2 days MC to rest at home and advice me to stay away from my parent. She gave me some medicine and asked me to come back to see her on Thursday.
Well, this is the first time I quarantined myself for 40 hours in my own room, where I took my meal, surfing & sleeping in the same place. Can you imagine I’m quarantine myself in a small 10 x10 sq.ft. room, where there’s not extra space for me? When my mum came closer to me, I asked her to stay away from me. 
After 2 days of MC, I went back to office to work as usual. But my situation seems not getting better but even worst, where heavy flu came to join the gang. Oh no~~~I was feeling not quite good at that point of time! I seem having a very bad health condition. I went back to my company panel clinic and guess what? She can’t believe I’m still sick! She gave me another 2 days MC and the same medicine except she had changed the antibiotic and asked me to go home and rest. Sigh~~2 days more MC?? Oh gosh..I guess my boss gonna “goreng” me…
On the forth day, I decided to see my family doctor because I don’t feel better after taking 3 days of my company panel doctor’s medication. My family doctor gave me a new set of medicine and I took medicine as per his instruction and I’m getting better on the fifth day. Suppose I’m shooting Sepang CMC 100th year anniversary on Saturday and an engagement session on Sunday, but have to cancel all the appointment because I am sick! Sorry for disappointing XJ & FY!
Ya..I’m getting better now friends. Thanks for all the comments in facebook and smses.No worries guys, I’m not infected of H1N1 and I am ready to shoot my church 25th anniversary on this coming Monday! Thanks God.
14.08.2009 - Jeremy’s Fullmoon Party
Jeremy, second child of Edmund & Anna. Anna is my church mate and I had forgotten how many years we knew each other. 
Anyway, this lady was a gymnastic instructor and she can do a lot of stunts definitely! But now, she’s a full time mummy taking care Isabel & her new born baby, Jeremy. Edmund is a superb father & husband! While looking at this family, I feel so warm and do hope I could have my own family.
I have been listening her sharing about taking care children the whole night. Seriously, it is not easy to take care a child and I know I’m not prepared to be a father nor a husband. Anyway, will submit to Lord, our heavenly father.

Happy Birthday Mum
I am so tired today because I was rushing back to KL from Port Dickson after attended ORIX Team Building Camp to celebrate Mrs. Tan i.e. my mother’s birthday. Besides celebrating mother’s birthday, I have an important task to do that is to shot Tan’s family portrait because my little sister will be back for dinner. Finally, Tan’s family portrait is done and mum is so happy to see those pictures. Even though it’s not a formal studio shoot, but mum do like it so much. She keeps smiling while looking at those pictures and I can feel how happy she is. I am sure tonight she’s gonna smile in her dream.
Mother has been asking me to snap our family portrait for so long. She even told me that her birthday wish is to have our own family portrait which it has to be done by me. I just don’t feel I can do it as I don’t really have much equipment to shoot a nice portrait. But mum said it’s ok because she just wanted to have a simple family portrait to put it at our living room.
Well, this simple family portrait is a gift from me. Mum, Happy Birthday~~~

21.06.2009 - Hiking Day
Been planning to go Broga Hill for so long and just couldn’t make the decision when to go because of tight schedule. Thanks to Sis Li Shan for her effort to arrange such a wonderful hiking day with ORIX colleagues & Li Shan schoolmates.
I woke up at 4am this morning because we planned to meet up at church on 4:45am. It’s so tiring and I didn’t get enough sleep last night because I was shooting the community concert till 12am and it’s late when I got back home.
Reaching the peak around 7am and manage to see the sunrise. Guess what! I met my ex-coursemate i.e. Yon Hon, Chin Ann & Sky! What a co-incident! Nice meeting you guys back! Well, share some photos here.

23.05.2009 - My ACCA Convocation
After 7 years of hardwork on my ACCA professional certificate, it’s time to write a full stop on it. Today is my ACCA convocation and all of us i.e. Tan’s family & I have been waited this day for so long. It’s such a wonderful & memorable day, where I can see my mum & dad laugh happily seeing their son standing on the stage, receiving the scroll from Dato’ Dr. Halim Harun, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UMW Holding Berhad. It’s an archievement and a recognition for me and my family.
I would really want to take this opportunity to thank my family i.e. my dad & mum for their supports. I remember I have failed 3 papers in my very first ACCA exam, I cried because it’s unexpected result and I wanted to give up. But my mum encourage me not to give up because she believes I would have a bright future when I have the cert because she cares my future. My dad has provide me financially support. Whenever I failed my paper, I feel guilty because I would need another sum of money from him to do a resit. I was afraid to tell him the fact because I do scare he will scold me with high tune but he didn’t scold me at the end yet encourage me to do better next round. I feel even more guilty! :-D Thanks Lord for giving me such wonderful parent.
After graduate from TARC, I found an internal audit job and starting to pay exam & tuition fees on my own since then. Doing ACCA on part time basis is not an easy way, taking annual leave and unpaid leave to study when the exam is near, preparing a sum of money for tuition and exam fees. It’s never an easy path.
Well, I’m so thankful that I have came to the end of my ACCA. After seeing my parent smiling non stop on my graduation day, I think they are proud of their son for his archievement and what I have been through is worth for their smile.
Besides, I would really want to express my gratitute to my friends who had attended my convocation and brought me gifts. Thanks to Li Shan & ORIX colleagues, Chloe & Xiu Jun. Thanks again and you guys have made my day. Oh ya, not to forget to congrat one of my colleauge, Sam, who is also an ACCA affiliate on the same day. Congratulation Sam!!

Next Destination, Taiwan
Taiwan, a country which I wanted to visit long time ago. A place that full of excitements, nice food, great sceneries and different types of cultural and arts which we had seen in TV. All this while, I have been doing survey & research on airfare to Taiwan, if you travel on MAS airline or others, the air ticket would cost you around RM1.800-RM2,000 plus other expenses cost around RM2,000, the trip will cost you RM4,000! Do you think you can afford a RM4,000 trip with a low pay salary under current economy crisis situation? I have doubt on that.
Thanks to Airasia! Currently they are having an airfare promotion starting from 13.05.2009 to 15.05.2009, which the oneway airfare to Taipei is only RM101 excluding airport tax. However, the travel period is in year 2010. Who cares about travel period since it’s on next year. The fare definitely attracts me. Don’t you think that’s really cheap?? My friend called me this morning after knowing this promotion and asked me whether I’m interested to travel together. My answer definitely is :”Ofcourse I’m interested!” and he had purchased the return air ticket thru online immediately. Guess what? The total return air fare is only RM498 per person. Wow~~thanks again to Airasia.
I LOVE TAIWAN!! I’m coming~~My next vacation will be on 07.03.2010 to 16.03.2010!
My Angkor Wat Trip
I have been to Angkor Wat on 19.02.2009- 23.02.2009 for a period of 5 Days 4 Nights. Our belove Ms. Esther collect all the information regarding Angkor Wat and she plan the itinery as well as arrange tour guide, accomodation for all of us. Thanks again.
I know this album has been pending for 2 months and I have edited the pictures finally. Not all, but some of my favourite pictures. Sorry about that.
This was a budget trip. I spent around RM1,100 for the whole trip, which includes accomodation, food, entrance fees and shopping. However, I enjoyed this amazing trip because I got the opportunity to visit the best pre-served temples which was built since 12th century. There are 150 temples in Angkor Wat. Out of them, only 40 plus temples are opened for tourist. After visited some of the temples, I have came to a conclusion, which the sturcture of the temples is the same except the decorations on the wall. 
And that’s the reason why I didn’t snap much of the temples but the detail of the decorations. I would really say the decoration is awesome!
Besides, this was an unforgetable trip because one of our member i.e. Mr. Kee has been hospitalised for 3 hours on our last day of the trip. We suspect he might have taken too much of “Happy Pizza”. Yeap! It’s HAPPY PIZZA. Want to know more about the pizza? You better try it yourselves. On our last day of the trip, we were so worried that we might need to stayback if he is still yet to recover. Anyhow, we managed to come back as per schedule. Well, Share some of my favourite pictures.
Back From Holiday
I’m back ! I wish I could have a longer vacation. 6 Days 5 Nights holiday was not enough!! I’m planning for my next vacation and it’s gonna be very soon!
Yeap!I came back from Hong Kong. Need not worry me, my friends, as I’m not infected by H1N1 virus. Although Hong Kong is one of the affected country, but it’s not that serious as you think or see in the media. The 1st virus infection case reported in Hong Kong was on my 3rd day. On that day, I almost sick because of headache and I think might caught fever. So, I decided to quarantine myself for 12 hours in my room. I’ve taken pills and slept for 12 hours instead of joining the others to Cheungzhao on the next day.
The next day, I feel much more better and went for a free an easy trip, which is shopping! But I didn’t manage to shop because the goods are expensive eventhough there’s sales bargain carnival during this period. However, I had spent almost HK3,000 just for the sake of accomodation, food and transport. Besides, due to body exhaustion, I couldn’t snap much photos on this trip.
On my last day, I have been to Wanchai to have my breakfast Dimsum and majority of the people there is not wearing mask. But I would really want to give some credits to M’sia government that they really done a great job in controlling the spreading of H1N1 virus in the airport. For all visitors who came from affected countries are required to declare themselves and to check their body temperature before entering into M’sia.
Anyway, I do enjoy eating & travelling in Hong Kong and would wish to go back Hong Kong soon. Share some of my favourite shots taken during my holiday.
Pre-launching My Website

A warm welcome to you, my friends. Welcome to my new website i.e. Kevin Tan Photography. I know you must be having lot of questions i.e why am I keep changing web address, from http://ktckstudio.blogspot.com to http://kevintanphotography.blogspot.com and now having my own domain name http://kevintanphotography.com . Well, this is part of my restructuring plan. :) Anyway, today is my new website pre-launching day! I plan to launch my website officially on 1st June 2009, which this date will celebrate my 1st year Anniversary of Photography.
Why I will launch it in June’2009? Because I’m having technical difficulties now on trasferring my porfolio into my new website. I need more time to do that and that’s why I would want to launch my website officially on June’2009. Be patient my friend~~
During the process of creating my own website, I found out to have your own website is not a difficult task but the most headche part is to have an idea on how to design your website. After try & error, I have finalised my website layout and design. Hope this layout would not trouble my visitors.

Hong Kong Trip (29.04.2009-04.05.2009)
Hey guys, just an announcement. I’m not able to reply your mails from 29.04.2009 - 04.05.2009 because I’m going to HONG KONG!Yeah baby!! I’ll try my very best to reply your mail after my trip.
Few years back, I always hope to travel oversea but I couldn’t afford to purchase the air ticket. I do wish I could travel with my love one to have nice vacations, capturing those wonderful moment with her and share the happiness together. But the wish could not be realised at the moment.
Thanks to Air Asia for it’s afforadable air ticket, which has given me lot of chances to travel overseas. I managed to travel to Phuket Island, Kota Kinabalu, Cambodia and soon will be Hong Kong. Besides, I would praise the Lord for given me a wonderful employment experience with Richina, where I travel a lot to Shanghai & Beijing as well.
I’m so excited to go Hong Kong and I couldn’t sleep well for few days not just because to rush my web but also too excited for the coming trip. There will be around 16 members in this trip and I think it’s gonna be lot of fun!!
Sure I’m gonna snap some pictures to share with you guys. By the way, my Cambodia pictures are still pending for process.. sigh~~~No worries, I will upload them as soon as possible and I can’t wait to share my travel pictures!! Stay tune guys. 
21.04.2009 - Jung Won Korea BBQ Restaurant, Jalan Ampang
This is my 3rd visit to this restaurant. Xiu Jun, Chloe & I had planned to pay this restaurant a visit for a long time but it is so difficult to arrange a date which everyone is available. Therefore, I decided to prepare my lecturing note in advance to spare my Tuesday for this dinner.
Our drafted plan was to gather & depart from Pavillion. But our plan changed because Xiu Jun do not know the way to Pavillion. Therefore, Chloe & I go together in a car. Ofcourse, I’m the driver. Although I have went there twice, but I still can’t remember which junction to turn in. I call up my friend to reconfirm which junction to turn in and he had given me the wrong direction unintentionally. We couldn’t find the place and we saw Xiu Jun’s car pass by us. She calls us and ask for direction but we haven’t reach the place yet. How did i reach the place? I recalled back that after the Victoria Station on your right, turn right after the traffic light and the restaurant will be on my left with a yellow big banner “Korea BBQ Restaurant”. Chloe & I managed to reach there first but Xiu Jun have been stuck in the jam plus turning here & there, circling the area for almost 1 hour. However, she managed to find the place after all.
FYI, there is a korean karaoke session during weekend. You can actually listen the korean sings while you are having your meal. Feel free to pay there a visit. If you need a clearer direction to this restaurant, just leave me a message. I will show you the way & I guarantee you won’t get lost! Share some of my shots taken on that night.
